Hello fellow Androidians,

As far as my first Android application review goes, we'll talk about Avanced Task Killer .

We'll break it down into three parts :

1) What does it do?

2) How much does it cost?

3) Conclusion?

Part 1  : What does it do?

Basically, what this Android application does is, it kills any application that might be running in the background without you knowing it, or even noticing it. These applications put , albeit a smaller, drain on your battery, but more importantly, they slow down the device you are currently using. How so, you may ask?

Just like a computer, an Android device has a certain amount of memory (RAM). The more programs running in the fore- or background, the more memory is being used. Higher memory usage means less available RAM to cover all other tasks you want to perform at that given time. Consider it like a Windows Task Manager.

To illustrate, view the screenshots below :

Part 2 : What does it cost?

This is the best part about this Android application, it’s completely free of charge.

Give it a try and see if it works for you. If it does, great! If it doesn’t, nothing spent, nothing gained.

Advanced Task Killer can be found here : Download from the Android Market

Part 3 : Conclusion ?

Is it REQUIRED to use this?

Absolutely not.

Will you benefit from it?

Possibly, depending on the situation

Will it interfere with other apps, e.g. a battery widget?

If you opt to kill the battery widget, information shown in the concerning widget might be incorrect or it might crash the widget.

Personal rating : 8.5/10

  1. Altough you don’t need this often with the newer android version, still comes in handy when you need to close a buggy program

  2. Hi there, I discovered your blog via Google whilst looking for a comparable topic, your web site came up, it seems to be good. I have bookmarked it in my google bookmarks.
